Visual Interdev - FrontPage Server Extentions Error

A colleague of mine gets the error:

"unable to get file 'global.asa' server error: The frontpage server extensions on this web do not support getting previous versions"

whenever he attempts to create/open a project to a specific web application, in Visual Interdev.  When I do the same thing (create/open project) I do not get the error.  He does not get the error with any other web applications on the same server.

We are puzzled as to the reason for this.  It seems to be something to do with his account.

We have tried the answer suggested by jimmy1969 and have changed the Verson control in IIS to "built-in".  This seemed to solve the problem but all other web applications on the same server have "Use External" Version Control and we are both able to use them without problems.

Does anyone know why this is happening.  Can anyone explain the difference between the Version Control "Built-in" and "Use External".

Cheers

I had this problem after installing .NET on the same box. I removed visual studio 6 and reinstalled it, that fixed it. It managed to keep my sourcesafe intact, but that doesn't mean it'll keep yours intact.
