I had this problem after installing .NET on the same box. I removed visual studio 6 and reinstalled it, that fixed it. It managed to keep my sourcesafe intact, but that doesn't mean it'll keep yours intact.

A colleague of mine gets the error:<br />

&quot;unable to get file 'global.asa' server error: The frontpage server extensions on this web do not support getting previous versions&quot;<br />

whenever he attempts to create/open a project to a specific web application, in Visual Interdev. &nbsp;When I do the same thing (create/open project) I do not get the error. &nbsp;He does not get the error with any other web applications on the same server. &nbsp;<br />

We are puzzled as to the reason for this. &nbsp;It seems to be something to do with his account. &nbsp;<br />

We have tried the answer suggested by jimmy1969 and have changed the Verson control in IIS to &quot;built-in&quot;. &nbsp;This seemed to solve the problem but all other web applications on the same server have &quot;Use External&quot; Version Control and we are both able to use them without problems.<br />
