WIN98SE and IE6.1
I am having problems with IE and networking. I am using cable modem however, when I try to connect to the internet with IE it trys to connect to www.incredifind.com of course, it just hangs there and nothing happens. I have tried to connect to my workgroup and all of the settings are correct but it says cannot browse the network. I have ran, ADWARE, NOADWARE, PEST PATROL, ASHAMPOO, REG MEH 2.1, SPYBOT S&D AND PC DOCTOR to no avail.

Note that reinstalling Windows does not alter your currently installed programs unless a program has previously replaced a Windows system file. If a program does not work correctly after you reinstall Windows, reinstall the program, but note that the program may be replacing one or more Windows system files.

Sometimes W98 and IE6 don't play well together. If repairing doesn't work, try deleting IE6 and installing IE5.5
Use IE Eradicator to delete Internet Explorer.

Cool Web Shredder should take care of your problem, but you may still need this registry fix:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/RepairTabs.reg
1) Restores the missing Tabs in IE (usually spyware related)
2) Unlocks the grayed-out Home Page section
3) Removes the Administrator message in Internet Options
