Easy - Custom Icon for DLL

Hi experts,
how do I specify a DLL's icon (am using MS VS.NET, but compile with the command line (cl)).

I have created the icon I wish to use.

Any advice appreciated

I think this is easy if you just change the icon how a dll should appear in windows explorer using the Explorer->File types. You can also refer to

Plz don't try this http://www.icon-maker.com/download.htm  It appears not to work when I tried

If there is any form or window in your application you can set icon to that form or window by using SetIcon method of CWnd. But, I don't think it is possible to change the icon specifically for a dll.

there is no form - but it must be possible - I'm sure I've seen Windows DLLs which had custom icons.

If you search for *.dll in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, you will all the dlls with the same icon associated with it. This icon cannot be customized unless you change the icon for all the dlls.
