Hi, could it be possible to make a program in delphi that when you are doing a file transfer through modem to modem it will detect the speed of the modem of the other pc? just like a host and a remotecontrol in pc anywhere and   the host pc will synchronize the speed of the modem thus, making the speed of the two modem equal?

If you connect from a pc calling with a modem to a pc setup to answer with a modem, I beleive they syncronize their speeds during handshaking. There would be no need to do this.

Or are you are talking about connecting 2 pc's together with a null modem cable.

Then when your pc calls the othe pcs modem they should negotiate the best common speed. You shouldn't have to do anything.
