I can open outlook once on my pc.

If I close and then start it again, I get the above error message.

When looking at what data the error report containers I get

AppName: outlook.exe       AppVer: 9.0.0.2416       ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0       Offset: 02541990

For the error signature.

I have re-formatted and installed my XP due to previous issues with outlook!!

Any ideas?

Is this OL2k?
If so, try Eraser2k - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q239/9/38.asp&NoWebContent=1
Then reinstall.  This removes registry entries and other files still left behind.  Maybe that will help.
You may also want to try Start-Run-SFC /scannow
It is also possible that this problem is coming from running the older software on XP.  I ran Outlook 2000 briefly on XP and didn't seem to have a problem.  I then moved up to 2002 and now 2003.

Are there any other problems with the system?  Maybe a scandisk and defrag will help.

Correct, this is OL2k,  which made me think!!

Downloaded the service packs from Microsoft for office 2000 and it is working as good now!!

Thought is might have had something to do with my incredimail add-on, but you sent me in the right direction!!

Many thanks.
