unknown eeprom type

Question.....

When I try to flash my BIOS I get the message on my AsusUpdate utility, " unknown eeprom type, please download the latest software from AsusTek website"..... What software ??

I know that ASUS has used two different update utilities... is this the one you are using

Try this link to update the BIOS flash utility and for the latest BIOS file.
1. Aflash V2.21 utility.
2. A7VE104.zip BIOS flash file.
You need both.

Sorry it's been so long. Thanks for your help. I'm a little nervouse about using this stuff. Am still not to sure how to use them together.
