MSI Installer errors after Windows 2003 Upgrade

Ran an upgrade of W2K to W2K3 in a single server domain. All appears well except for...

Whenever I access Active Dir Users & Computers, there is a brief Flash of a Windows Installer... screen. Then the ADUC loads and works fine. The Application log has entries of EventID 1001 and 1004 and 1018. The 1018 references the Admin Tools of W2K (I had not uninstalled as the upgrade said they'd be disabled).

EventID 1001 gives entries such as:
Detection of product '{B7298620-EAC6-11D1-8F87-0060082EA63E}', feature 'FeRRASConsole' failed during request for component '{455FE9EA-07D6-11D3-9C52-00A0C9F14522}'

and

Detection of product '{B7298620-EAC6-11D1-8F87-0060082EA63E}', feature 'FeADTools' failed during request for component '{455FE972-07D6-11D3-9C52-00A0C9F14522}'

Event ID 1004 has entries such as:
Detection of product '{B7298620-EAC6-11D1-8F87-0060082EA63E}', feature 'FeAdminBinaries', component '{455FE9FE-07D6-11D3-9C52-00A0C9F14522}' failed.  The resource 'C:\WINNT\help\glossary.hlp' does not exist.

and

Detection of product '{B7298620-EAC6-11D1-8F87-0060082EA63E}', feature 'FeRRASConsole', component '{455FE9D3-07D6-11D3-9C52-00A0C9F14522}' failed.  The resource 'C:\WINNT\System32\ipxsnap.dll' does not exist.

Any insight into this and, of course, a "fix" would be appreciated :-)

Thanks.

This solved the problem... I had never installed the adminpak.msi on the DC before and had thought about it, but I see by the referenced article that it can and does solve this problem,

Thanks for the quick response... points are yours :-)

No problem. I've got the .msi tools on a usb stick now along with the exchange tools set and the 2003 admin resource kit too - saves me running into the same problem and having to download the damn things ... ;-)

Hmmmm, now there's an idea... the exchange and resource kit.. always a pain when you need them.
