There are usually several dll's that must be installed with even the most basic vb6 application, as even basic controls and functions are being read from them.
VB6 has the "Package and deployment wizard", which will create a setup package for you, and include all necassary files (much easier than trying to do it yourself, because all of the dll's also have to be registered on the target system, which is also automatically done for you).

You should have another menu item wherever vb was installed called the package and deployment wizard, click on it and follow the instructions.  If it's not there for some reason, you can also access it from vb.  Go to Add-Ins -> Add-In Manager, and highlight package and deployment wizard in the list, and click on the "Loaded/Unloaded" checkbox.  P&D Wizard will now also be in the add-in manager, click on it from there.

When it's finished, you will have a simple setup package to install your program (when giving it to people, you do not need to include the "support" folder if one is created, this is just for your purposes).
