Outlook XP conflicts with GroupWise 6

Company email client is GroupWise 6 SP2.  But a user wants to use Outlook XP to check his personal email.

When I install Outlook, it overwrites the Windows Messaging with Outlook messaging which causes problems when trying to access the GroupWise Address Book.

Is there any way to configure these applications so the user can still access the GroupWise mail system with GroupWise and his personal email with Outlook without having any conflicts between the two?

Personal email is allowed, yes.  I believe he would prefer to use Outlook.  If that is not possible, then I will try Outlook Express.

Well, after having no luck in find an answer, I just went to using Outlook 2000 and the problem is solved.  I guess there's just something with Outlook XP that seems to take over the Windows Messaging and won't allow the two to play nice.
