Transfereing JSP data (in table) from Oracle to Excel file

I am having my JSP page displaying data fetched from oracle in tablular format.i have to place a drop down list(Excel,Notepad) and a button on my page(Get it).When i select Excel from the list the data showed on JSP page should convert into Excel and prompt with a dialog box where to save the file.and if u select Notepad, it should put the data to notepad or text file and prompt user to save file.How can i achieve this.
