Hi I have a dedicated server running Red Hat 7.3 and the new Plesk7 Cp software. I want to upgrade php and mysql as they seem to be running old versions and I need functionality such as file_get_contents().

Server running..
php 4.1.2-7.3.6
Apache 1.3.27-4
Plesk7.0.1
mySql 3.23.58-1.73

I am a bit of a novice at this so I would appreciate as detailed a step by step guide as possible.

Cheers
S

if u have installed apache, php and mysql from the RPM its easy ..
just fire the comman "update -l  " and it will show u the updates then update and the $products

and if u have install it from the source the download the new stable versions of this product and install it as same as u have installed it before
