Hello:<br />

I am trying to install Windows 2000 professional in a PC<br />
and during the installation process I got the following error.<br />
<br />
&quot;The file ntsd.exe was not correctly copied to the directory<br />
and CD you are using may be corrupted&quot;. <br />
(This Cd is a brand new CD)<br />
<br />
It gives me a choice to bypass this file but it warned the windows<br />
installation may not work properly. I bypass the file and after installing Windows I got following issues:<br />
<br />
1. My &quot;Administrative tool menu&quot; is completely empty even &nbsp; &nbsp;<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; though I installed such tools as web server.<br />
2. When I try to install Windows2000 service pack4, it complaints<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; the program is not a valid win32 application.<br />

Could someone please help what do here…thanks a lot

Windows 2000 is an operating system for use on both client and server computers. It is the successor to Windows NT 4.0, and is the last version of Microsoft Windows to display the "Windows NT" designation. Four editions of Windows 2000 were released (Professional, Server, Advanced Server, and Datacenter Server) that shared a core set of features, including many system utilities such as the Microsoft Management Console.
