Forwarding an email to my work email address returns with "the following recipient could not be reached" #553

Recently, I added my work email address as a new mail account in my home office.  I often download all my email at home, but then try to forward some of them back to my office.  I get the message "the following recipient cold not be r eached. It always has #553 before my email address.  Is there a way I can reply to myself?  Thanks.
