Direct disk access.

Hi,

Does anyone know how i can run applications that require direct disk access before the system starts.

I know it's possible, applications like chkdsk and partition magic can both be scheduled to run at boot but idon't know how they do it.

Any help appreciated!

Does not work, need to run the aplication before the drive is locked for write access.

But thanks for the suggestion anyway.
