I just created an empty SDI project in VC++.Net 2003, opened up the resource view, expanded the rc file, right-moused on &quot;Dialog&quot;, picked &quot;Insert Dialog&quot;, and a new dialog with two controls showed up. If I right-mouse on the dialog I can select &quot;Add class&quot;, right-mouse on the control lets me bring up the Event Wizard.<br />

If I right-mouse on the dialog I can select "Add class", right-mouse on the control lets me bring up the Event Wizard.

I am a newcomer to MFC programming, using VS.net 2003.<br />
I was following a book, so I added that dialog resource to an empty SDI application, but the dialog editor won't show a thing, although the book stated that it'd create a dialog box with two buttons.<br />
Is there a catch that I should know? any option has to manually be changed?<br />
The strange thing is, when I try to open existing MFC application with dialogs, they show up, and I can edit them as well.<br />
