I have a couple users that are getting this message after they hit the send button in OutlookXP(2002).  They are writing an email, if they input the individuals seperately the email will go. If they add a group that they made it comes back with that message and doesn't send.

Any Ideas.

How many contacts are added in that group ? Have you tried adding just 2 or 3 contacts in a group and then sending the email ?

while sending , what error message you get in the send/receive dialog box ? post back with the error message

There are 26 people in the group. Most of them are part of the Global Address list. I would say about 6 are not.

We have other Global Groups that people send to and it works fine with them. Up to 200 people in some. They work. Just seems to be with lists that have people in them that are not part of the Global list since they have outside email addresses.

Ok.... this is funny. When I logged onto the Directors Machine and created a dummy email, it sent it. But I suspect that it is a combo of the Group Listing and other email addresses added to the To: column.

Any other words of wisdom.

can you do one more test. in the machine where there is a problem , remove those 6 people who are not part of the global address list and check if an email to the rest of the group can be sent or not

I can't get it to repeat now.

I just logged onto his machine and created a new message with the group and then added three other people to get it. It went through no problems. Didn't remove the 6 people that are inside the group list either.

Spacemanbob2000,

No what i asked you to do was in the machine that had problem and NOT in your director's machine . Looks like it is working fine in his machine

go to your machine. try to remove the 6 contacts that you said are not in the global address list.. Then send that email to the rest of the group and check
