A 4 port router can have 4 physical connections to it, but you can use an 8-port network switch (or bigger) on one or more of them to attach more than 4 computers to it. &nbsp;The maximum number of computers is likely the number of addresses your DHCP can hand out (which would put it around 254).

Yesterday changed the channel from 6 to 11 and this appears to have solved the problem. &nbsp;<br />

My wireless connection to the Internet from my IBM laptop with built in 801.a/b/g via a DLink VI-824VUP wireless router will occassionally freeze up, even though my wireless connection shows OK. &nbsp;Powering down the router and restarting seems to solve the problem.<br />

1. &nbsp;What might be causing this , and how do I troubleshoot this?<br />
