Wireless Connection shows OK, but Interet freezes
My wireless connection to the Internet from my IBM laptop with built in 801.a/b/g via a DLink VI-824VUP wireless router will occassionally freeze up, even though my wireless connection shows OK. Powering down the router and restarting seems to solve the problem.
1. What might be causing this , and how do I troubleshoot this?
2. At times I have had 5 computers connected to the router. It is a 4 port router. What is the max number of computers that may be connected at the same time?
Thanks

A 4 port router can have 4 physical connections to it, but you can use an 8-port network switch (or bigger) on one or more of them to attach more than 4 computers to it. The maximum number of computers is likely the number of addresses your DHCP can hand out (which would put it around 254).

Yesterday changed the channel from 6 to 11 and this appears to have solved the problem.
