If you have Flash MX 2004 then you can do this using the Media Components. This will save you alot of time and programming.
Let me know if this is an option.

Hi,

I have found a component for you , to :

http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/pixellabz/vwp2?.tok=bcu2qSTBHJgBhr0I&.dir=/Solutions&.dnm=VideoSlider.zip&.src=bc

Aftre going to this link click on the document icon and donwload the zip file, unzip it and install the extension.

Close and re-open Flash and press (Ctrl+F7) and you will find the video component. Pull a instance of it to the stage.
Now import your video file and give it a instance name of mymovie and now select the video componenet and in the parametrs panel specify the instance name as mymovie. It works for me and it will work for you too.

Thanks,
KP
