Hi there,

I'm looking for some tutorials / information URLs to help me learn how to link an Access DB to my Dreamweaver site, using ASP.VBscript.

I am running Dreamweaver MX, Access, and PWS all on a laptop running win 98 (Nasty set-up but best i can get my hands on for this).

Just need to help to set up an online Shop website, accessing the DB to get product info etc, and also to create a SHOPPING BASKET.

Any tutorial sites on how to do this? I found the built in DW help quite good, but need more help for the shopping basket and stuff like temporary tables etc.

Thanks,
LH

There are numerous DW tutorials out there that can be found by doing a simple search of the net.  Some not listed above are:

Thanks for the tips so far!

I have had a look, and now changed my set-up to suit me a bit more.

I discovered that you can use "Abyss Web Server" From Aprelium.com, and get a plug in so you can run asp pages on it - which all works on XP Home - this setup is much better than the dodgy Win 98 Laptop I was using!

But I'm still looking for useful tips on creating the shopping basket, so keep em coming if you have any more ideas!

:o)

Thanks Guys,

in the end I went with Bit Twiddler's suggestions from WebThang - what a great site! :o)

Got some great tips and a much better understanding of how to get Dreamweaver to behave the way I want now.
