Windows XP Pro and VPN Email

Hello,

We have multiple windows 2000 machines that connect to our office vpn through our 3com router/gateway to send and receive their interoffice email along with their earthlink email accounts through outlook 2002 without any problems. We have since replaced two of the windows 2000 machines with xp pro machines and now the xp pro machines are unable to send email using their earthlink account while dialed into the vpn. The interoffice email works fine. Any suggestions?

Assuming that your VPN is Microsoft PPTP, on the XP boxes, open the VPN client properties, Networking, TCP/IP, uncheck the box "use default gateway on remote network"
