Unexpected error on Outlook client

Anybody know what this error means??? This is what I get when I check my email on my Outlook...

"Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR An unexpected error has occurred processing the command.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've seen something like this when McAfee chokes the mesage download into Outlook.
If you're running McAfee's mail virus check, use task manager and kill mcVSEscn process.
You may need to stop and restart Outlook after that.
Be careful, the "clogging" email is likely to be infected.

hey here goes ....

0x800420cd / 0x800CCC90
Possible Cause: Message number 16 could not be retrieved. Account: pop.[yourISP]' Server: 'pop.[yourISP]' Protocol: POP3 Server Response: 'Body nazis: Hard-core exercise and weightlifting', Port: 110 Secure(SSL): No Server Error: 0x800CCC90 Error Number: 0x800420CD

Remedial Action: Message cannot be downloaded from server due to known bug in Outlook Express (any Non Microsoft email package will retrieve message) so delete email off server. To delete e-mail off server: (MAKE SURE YOU FIRST HAVE A CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET) then click Start, Run, and type in "Telnet" and press Enter. Click on the Terminal Menu and select Preferences, ensure that Local Echo has a tick next to it. Click on the Connect menu and select Remote System. A box will appear, you need to make sure the Host Name is set to pop.[yourISP], and the Port is set to 110. Click on Connect. You should see a message at the top starting with '+OK'. If you can see this you are connected. Windows XP users> You now have a black command screen. Type in:

o pop.freeserve.com 110

Press enter you should now see a ‘+OK’ response. If you can see this you are connected. You now need to identify yourself so that you can access your email, to do this type in the following:

E.G = user smith.tiscali.co.uk

Press enter you should now see a ‘+OK’ response. Now type:

E.G = pass 12345abcde

Press enter and you should now see a ‘+OK’ response. type: "List"

And you will see a list of any emails currently stored on your account. The figure on the left is the email number, and the figure on the right is the size of the email, eg:1 12342 5612

To delete an email type in either:

"Dele nX" or "Dele X" <X is the number on the left of the list of e-mails

Repeat the above procedure for all emails you wish to delete REMEMBER in order for these changes to become permanent you must finish your Telnet session by typing quit followed by enter.

Hope this helps...

How do you delete a range of emails rather than one by one?????

I deleted all emails on the server (60 of them) and type quit to exit the session but when I tried telnetting back in to double check, all 60 messages were still on the server.  Any suggestions???
