Using the VB .Net compact framework to develop windows CE applications. Brand new to this have done extensive work in VB 6 connecting to access and SQL alike but i cannot figure out a couple things with the compact framework.

1. I need a connection string that is made of the server, database, username, password, and provider from textboxes.. Would like to use a Adodb.Connection i am familiar with this.

2. Need to declare a recordset and then open using "Select * From Table Where Blah = 'Blah'", ConABC

Thanks in Advance Greg.

You can do this easily using ADO.NET

The System.Data.SqlServerCe namespace exposes SQL Server CE in the .NET Compact Framework. In addition, the .NET Compact Framework also includes the System.Data.SqlClient namespace for developing Windows CE-based applications that directly access databases in SQL Server 7.0 or later.

Pretty much the entire System.Data.SqlClient namespace is there so it the same as in windows ...

There are a TON of tutorials on how to connect to a db and issue a query using this namespace (they should apply pretty much as is in the .net compact framework)
