I bought this great book (see quetion title) about learning to program in oop with VB, and the disc that came along with it unfortunately was cracked.

The disc contained a project that was made in one of the serie's earlier books, and is needed so the new oop techniques being taught in this book, can be applied to that project.

The project was called: The China Shop Program.

Also, unfortunately the website listed in the book seems to be outdated as well (www.activepath.com) and so I was hoping that an expert out there, possibly had this book, or would know how I could get a copy of the China Shop Project so that I can go on with this book.

I'm a VB student, and bought this book as extra revision for my OOP skills, as frankly, I find them exteremely daunting as a student, and need all the extra help I can get.

Regards.

Great, thank you.

When I try to use these files, I get the following message:

"Retained is an invalid key. The file 'C:\FBFiles\China\CHINAS~1.VBP' cant be loaded"

Would me using VB5 have anything to do with this? I do not understand this error.

Yep
Just open .vbp file and delete the Retained=0 line.

Is this guy a real professor, or has he just found a very interesting way to write a book? The book is great!
