Popup calendar to insert date in text field

Hi everyone,
I know this easy for a lot of you, but i never do it before,I need to insert date from a calendar, so i need to have calendar icon user click on popup calendar window, once they click on the date should be inserted into the text field, can someone help me

Please excuse my ignoranse, these files withextension JS where it should be stored

In any directory on your webserver.

In general people choose 1 of 2 options:

1) Store the javascript file (.js) in the same directory as the page that will call it.
2) Store all .js files in a scripts directory and link to them.

But you can store it anywhere that you can access it - even another website.
