Hi,

I'd like to place a button on my Form which when pressed opens Outlook and pastes some text from the Form into the email body.

Whats the best way to do this ?

Hi,

create a button on your form and copy-paste following code.

DECLARE

  -- check path of your outlook.exe on your PC ! ! !

  vOutlookExe VARCHAR2(300) := 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE -c IPM.Note /m ';
  vTO VARCHAR2(100) := 'musdu@yahoo.com';
  vCC VARCHAR2(100) := 'someone@yahoo.com';
  vBCC VARCHAR2(100) := 'someoneelse@yahoo.com';
  vSubject VARCHAR2(300) := 'This is subject of my mail';
  vBody VARCHAR2(2000) := 'This is body of my mail. ';

BEGIN

  Host(
    vOutlookExe||
    '"mailto:'||vTO||
    '?cc='||vCC||                                                -- if you don't want a cc, comment this line
    '&bcc='||vBCC||                                          -- if you don't want a bcc, comment this line
    '&subject='||vSubject||                  -- if you don't want a subject, comment this line
    '&body='||vBody||                                    -- if you don't want a body, comment this line
    '"'
