Windows 2000 servers replication

I have two Windows 2000 server at different sites connecting through a VPN via internet high speed.

One of my two servers got disconnected for longer than 48 hours, and now I'm not able to synchronise it anymore with my master server, it wont do it.

Any ideas on how to do it ?

what do you see or what error do you get when you try to sync?

is the file replication service running?

are the servers in the same site object or in different site objects ?
check in AD Sites and Services on the server thats been up, look in the servers container in the site, click on the server name then right click on ntds settings and select new AD connection....do you see the other server listed as a choice? you can also try to add the server by right clicking on the servers container and selecting new server (assuming there is only one site object).

if not, then make sure that the servers can find each other.... i'm assuming that the servers have static addresses... do a ipconfig /registerdns for both the servers.

just curious, is this a windows vpn connection. in any case i'm assuming that there is nothing wrong with your vpn connection.
i have made some good suggestions but didn' t get any updates from denisnt

give me the points if denisnt does not respond
