Hi,

I'm having a problem with a sendkeys operation into Attachmate Extra! Personal Client, and need some help please !!

I have created an excel document that copies and pastes data from extra into excel, however some of the sendkeys options do not work.

The problem with this is the Extra keyboard maps, I need to send a Page Down option to display the next set of data to copy and paste, however Extra does not recoginse the Page Up/Down function (the keyboard map reads this as Roll Up or Roll Down, using the standard {PGUP} has no effect. The Keyboard map shows that the Page Down yer is set to Sendkeys <RollUp>   however, If you try to specify this from excel as a send keys option it sends each characted seperate, - ie:- < R O L L (etc).

Also the Crtl key on the LEFT has been changed to <Reset>, which resets any error message that I want to keep displayed when selecting the data (^a  - Select All,  ^c  -  Copy).

Does anyone have any ideas on this ??

All help greatly appreciated,

Many Thanks,

Gaz.

Unfortunately, SendKeys is pretty limited in what it can mimic. You might have better luck using lower-level windows messages such as KeyDown and KeyUp. If you're unsure of which messages to send, try using a message spy utility such as Spy++ (which comes with Visual Studio).
