i got a java file called sms.java...
i created a package to store it.. so i now have the folder: com.sms
i use a jsp, refreshSms.jsp to call a function inside sms file
this is the error i encountered
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

An error occurred at line: 15 in the jsp file: /refreshSms.jsp

Generated servlet error:
    [javac] Compiling 1 source file

C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Tomcat 4.1\work\Standalone\localhost\imcsWeb\refreshSms_jsp.java:58: cannot resolve symbol
symbol  : method retrieveSMS ()
location: class com.sms.sms
   s.retrieveSMS();
    ^
1 error
------------------------------------------------------
this is wat i code in the jsp.. i think its the importing part that is causing the problems..
<%@ page import = "java.lang.*"%>
<%@ page import = "java.util.*"%>
<%@ page import = "com.sms.*"%>
<html>

<head>
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5" />
<title>SMS Refresh</title>
</head>

<body>

<% sms s = new sms();
   s.retrieveSMS();
 %>
</body>

</html>

You sure it's

  retrieveSMS()

in sms.java, and not

  retrieveSms()

or

  retrieveSMS( int someVariable )
