Web Publishing Wizard

In the Web Publishing Wizard, when it asks "Where do you want to publish these files?" it only shows MSN (of course) and NO "add" button. How do I add my Yahoo briefcase? It appeared once and worked great but I somehow lost it... any help would be grand.  Thx, Chalrie

have you tried running check disk and system file checker?

Click Start, then Run and type:

chkdsk c: /f

You will get the followng message so hit the y key and reboot

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Then try this go to Start->Run and type

sfc /purgecache
sfc /scannow

that will check for corrupted system files.
If that doesn't do it, then since it worked before:

Try using the Windows XP System Restore utility:

Hi Lee,
Thanks for responding. I tried the commands but am not sure if they were succesful... they asked me things I'm not sure how to answer but is there a way to just intall this link to the Yahoo briefcase? I'm guess don't understand how purging/scanning/restore solution will work since it's been quite awile since I had the link to Yahoo. Anyway I'd like to verify with you that you know what I'm trying to do since you don't refer to the particular screens that I am working with (when it asks "Where do you want to publish these files?" ). Anyway, THANKS for responding and I'll be running the purging/scanning/restore commands as you suggest to see if this "direct FTP access" with Yahoo is somehow revived.
Many Thanks,
Charlie

Great advice - thanks! I'll continue looking at your advice concerning corrupt files. I'm also having some problems with restore too but it's been way too long on this Compaq Presario 700 to expect to get back what I need to know how to restore. True, as long as MSN sits there un-affected, I feel you are on-target that I've certainly corrupted or accidentally erased the Yahoo FTP upload settings... it seems to be a relatively obscure problem but this feature (FTP Wizard) is INCREDIBLY helpful so I better get more hard advice on using this feature... it seems to me it's part of the general web uploading scheme that I better get in-tune with ASAP (I have an opportunity to now sell web services). Anyhoo thanks Lee!.
Best Wishes,
Charlie
Sorry to be so late in responding - still at a loss to find how to install this upload Wizard. I've done all the tips and no one even got close to a straightforward solution... but then I was not very timely in responding - oh well, thanks for trying!
