Receive error message when retrieving OE mail

Have Laptop with Win2K Pro, current on all updates.  Believe exchange server software is Win 2K.  Receive following error message when "pop" email:

Message number 7560 could not be retrieved. Account: ..., Server: ..., Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR The parameter is incorrect.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD.

Make sure you have got the latest service pack and updates for exchange server
