Hi:
I using Mandrake 9.2 and I have successfully connected to the internet but I cannot get my MSN account to work.

I am using gaim to setup my account but when I try to connect I get the following error message:

username@hotmail.com has been disconnected.

Protocol not supported.

Can someone help me with this problem?

MSN requires SSL support in gaim. Check out this page http://gaim.sf.net/faq-ssl.php
for information about how to enable this with different distributions. You will find a section about Mandrake 9.2 on this page.

Download this file http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gaim/gaim-0.76-0mdk9.2.i586.rpm?download (click on one of the download links) and replace our gaim version with it:

rpm -U gaim-0.76-0mdk9.2.i586.rpm

After that, give it anther try.
