I am working on a project where I have to intelligently match values from 2 tables of a database. I have to use MS SQL server for the database management and I have to apply neural networks to match the values from the database. The problem is that I have no idea about how to apply neural networks on databases and I dont know how to assign weights to columns. If anyone can give me a clear idea how this will be done.

Have a look at using FREETEXTTABLE/CONTAINSTABLE search , and the full-text indexing services (as this applys weighting values to matching columns) such as :
Setup and Demo: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/articles/20010422.asp (and will output the various weigtings are required)

I did some work on a previous question, if you can look up the following:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Databases/Microsoft_SQL_Server/Q_20933715.html

This will give you weightings for various items if using the TABLE equivelent commands.

I remeber asking MS if they could apply weighting/rankings to their support site based on the input question/criteria (would make my life easier..)
