When opening Lotus SmartSuite documents (Word Pro), i get the following messages:

Unable to load ltsbc61.dll
Unable to load ltaswn21.dll

I cannot find any results elsewhere online to these errors.

I have already attempted to uninstall/re-install Lotus SmartSuite

I have also installed Windows 98_SE over the top of the operating system (which was, of course, the same win_98se)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You did not mention your version of SmartSuite, which would help! In any case, a similar error is documented in Lotus Tech Note #151073:

PROBLEM:

The Word Pro update LWPFIX.EXE on the web page (ftp://ftp.lotus.com/pub/lot
usweb/product/smartsuite/interimupdate/wordpro/) is intended for Word Pro
97 for Windows 95 only. What problems can be expected if this patch is
installed on top of the wrong version?

SOLUTION:

Fix installed on Word Pro 96 for OS/2:
"Unexpected DOS error: 23". When Word Pro is launched a DOS windows
appears.

Fix installed on top of Word Pro 96 for Windows 3.1
The screen flashes for a brief moment and then returns to Program Manager.
No error messages are displayed. Customers must delete the files in the
Word Pro 96 directory for a reinstall to fix the problem.

This scenario actually worked and might be something to check into on a
system that had erratic problems.

Fix installed on top of Word Pro 96 for Windows 95
Three error messages:

"Unable to load ltdlgn03.dll"
"Unable to load lticnc71.dll"
"Unable to load ltsbc61.dll"

A "shrunken" Welcome Screen appears, followed by two more error messages:

"Unable to load ltsisn01.dll"
"Unable to load ltaswn14.dll"

The "shrunken" Welcome Screen remains.

Fix installed on a system that does not have any version of Word Pro
installed.
"Unable to load ltdlgn03.dll" and exit.

NOTE: Lotus has not tested the latest update 8C (WP97_SPC.EXE) in these
situations; similar if not identical behavior is expected.

I figured out the problem.

Cleaning out the program directory where SmartSuite resides manually after diong an uninstall in add/remove progs..

ALso edit out Lotus entries in the registry.

That's what I did, it fixed the problem
