Hey guys,
My boss Has an e-machine( I know ,I know, Mistake #1). Every time we try to run Clean Disk it hangs @ "Compressing Old Files". I believe it is the NTFS File system.
i have used Scan disk, and Also defraged the Drive. but it Still Hangs "Forever"
And never gets to the next screen of files to delete. It is out of Warranty, i think. It is over a year old and Everone in the Back office uses it cause the Duh People that started it with out me there didn't realize they could make seperate user accts.
Does any one have a Solution to this issue?

Yeah just don't use clean manager. do it manually. it is faster and cleans better. delete everything in the following folders:

C:\recycled (you can empty the recycle bin for this one)
C:\temp
c:\windows\temp
c:\documents and settings\(user name)\local settings\temp
c:\documents and settings\(user name)\local settings\temporary internet files
c:\documents and settings\(user name)\local settings\cookies

do that for each user.
