Visio UML Sequence diagrams - Class lifeline ending.

I have a sequence diagram that has a couple of long lifelines. It seems if the lifelines get too long, the blue connectors (to which you attach activations or messages) stop appearing. I can then not attach any new messages or activations to the lifeline.

Does anyone know why it does this? More importantly I suppose, does anyone know how to fix this?

I tried extending the lifelines and I found the same problem ... connectors dispperared after extra 3/4 page extension

Interestingly, end of life line still had a connection point

KB and google search did not turn up anything useful .... I guess it is a feature to support a finite number of points ...

sorry out of ideas ... May be you can try asking this in office TA

I haven't been able to find any real solution to the problem. If I take a 2nd instance of the object and change the shape display properties so that the identifying box is essentially invissible I get another lifeline I can attach things to.

This seems like a huge shortcomming of this product. Users be warned.

I too have been searching for a while ... fortunately, my life lines never needed to be that big ...

I am also inclined to agree that this is shortcoming of visio
