I successfully compiled servlet 'upload' in \web-inf\classes folder.  When I tried to execute it from the browser using 'http://localhost/testup.htm' HTLM form I get "The requested resource (/upload) is not available."  Do I have to tell Tomcat where to find it.  If so, How do I do this.  Is it in the Server.xml or Web.xml,

Hope this helps

1)Ensure your servlet is running to begin with

2)Try using the following format for calling your servlet from your html
- dont forget to specify the port 8080 which is the default web port on your computer
- login is the name of my servlet you should replace this with your servlet name with no dot extension  .just how you see it below

<FORM method="post" action="http://localhost:8080/login">
      <p>User Name: <input name=name type=text></p>
          <p>Password: <input name=password type=password></p>
<input type=submit name=submit value=submit>
        <input type=reset name=reset value=reset>
</font>
</FORM>
