Buying Traffic

Hi,

Can anyone give some feedback on buying traffic.
Is it a good idea and are there any particularly good or bad companies to look out for.

Thanks

The only traffic that I will buy is from Paid-To-Click program. Where members actually need to visit the websites for a certain time (20 seconds etc).
Don't EVER buy any traffic from auto-surf programs. As the name suggested, it is automatic. Where no real visitors will be seeing your site.
I usually dont get good results from popup or popunder. I dont think those kinds of traffic will work because most of the surfers have their popup blockers on.
Just my two cents :)
Good luck.

Hi

thanks for the comments - enlightening, esp on traffic.

>Skiyuki - do you have a link on the paid-to-click program you use. Google brings up a bunch os sites with those keywords.

I've seen some sites advertising massive numbers of email opt-in addresses at what seems very low prices - ???

thanks
just thinking...paid-per-click seems a good idea for an advertiser at first.....

...but now i'm having visions of people with as many open windows as their screens can take clicking away like automatons....
