asked on

Veritas and an old PDC

I wasnt able to find anything on Veritas' website regarding this issue, so maybe somone somwere might know the answer. Here is the situation...we have Veritas Backup Exec 9 running full backups everynight. One of the servers that had been tagged was our NT4 Domain Controller...we migrated to AD and are now using a completely different server for the PDC. Now the old PDC is offline, and since veritas requires that the server be online to select or deselect it from the backup we are running into failed backups every night. Since the old PDC cannot be brought online again we cannot deselect this server from the backup. Is there a way to do this without bringing the old PDC online again?

Thanks for any help

Maybe I should keep my nose out of this since I am not an expert with Backup Exec,
but can't you just set up a new job?

ASKER

I finally found it by browsing...if you go to job setup in BackupExec and then to the bottom were it says Backup Selection Lists....view the backup selection, and when you see the option for Grahpical or Text, choose text and it will let you scroll through and delete the selections...thanks anyways
