Will Crystal Report 9 run-time files run Crystal Report 8.5 Files?

I’ve created this program, which uses Crystal Reports 4.5 for Visual Basic 6, for a company.  This company also uses a popular application called Timberline, which uses Crystal Reports 8.5.  

Right now I’m running my 4.5 reports through the 8.5 run-time files.  Everything I’ve read said newer run-time files should be able to parse older report files.  However my 4.5 reports are buggy and constantly have problems.  I’m guessing that 4.5 is just too old.

So, I’m thinking about redoing the reports in Visual Basic .Net 2003 Standard, which I believe ships with Crystal Reports 9.1.5.  Will this work for both applications?  Or will the other application, Timberline, which uses the 8.5 run-time files, have report problems when I upgrade the run-time files to 9.1.5?
