Outlook Express & Keeping Sent Items on IMAP Server

Hiya All,

Using Outlook Express with IMAP, saving Sent Items to the server doesn't appear to work.

I have the root folder set to 'INBOX.', and Drafts are being correctly saved to the Drafts folder on the server. However, the following error message is given for sent mail:

Some of the messages in your Outbox Folder could not be copied to your Sent Items Folder.  Subject '', Account: 'mail.motile.net', Server: 'mail.motile.net', Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: '', Port: 143, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x8004108D

A searching on the error message has provided no answers.

This is using Outlook Express 6.0.0.2800.1123.

Is there any solution to this, or is it a bug with Outlook Express?

Thanks in advance.

Do you enforce any kind of Quota on the system, and if so, are you well below this?

Thanks sunray 2003,

Didn't really apply to our situation however we inadvertantly came across the solution ourselves. It turns out that you must close down Outlook express and reopen it after you change the imap settings for it to take affect otherwise you will get what we experienced.

Thanks 4 your help though!!
