Programmer0000 is asking about 2D Real-time Strategy (RTS) games.

Warcraft3, Neverwinter Nights, Sims, etc, do not fall into this category.

Probably the best would be STARCRAFT (of course!) Warcraft/Warcraft II, Red Alert 2 (I think it was 2D), and there are many others, and of course we all have our favorites.

Another question, Programmer0000. Why the specification of 2D? Personal preference, or do you have a technical limitation that you think won't support 3D RTS games?

but i strongly recommend Commandos 1,2,3 or 4
by the way is it for PC or else

hey chrispy, he may be one of the Isometric Game lover, don't push him to 3D ... (ha ha )
otherwise developers like us (isometric) would find difficult to sell our games

althought I am not totally satisfied, I accept Yasith s answer as it gives more information regrading a Game

And I am not sure if I have a 2D/3D preference... actually given my hardware, 2D is better for me! And thanks for providing 'isometic' that was the term I was looking for about perspective!
