im trying to do a local copy of client 800 of the BW IDES to client 801 (within the same server), using SAP_ALL profile.  the analysis of the system starts and a couple of minutes into the copy, it says  "cancelled.  see log" .  and the process stops.

looking in the logs, i have the following:-

last action as Analysis of System
last exit program  as FINB_TR_CC_EXIT

drilling down further into the logs, i found the following on the table:-

__________________________

table             FINB_TR_CC_EXIT
      short description      FUNCTION
package      FINB_TRANSPORT_TOOL
short description      Transport Support /Container Transport
application component:      FB
      short description      Financials Basis

technical information
table is not active
table does not Exist in database:            FINB_TR_CC_EXIT
_____________________________

could someone please enlighten me as to what is going on, why the client copy wont complete and what i need to do.   i tried increasing the rdisp/max_wprun_time to 1800 to see if that would help but it hasnt.

thanks in advance.

one more thing, i got to a screen where i could do a database test on the table FINB_TR_CC_EXIT  and this comes up with

there is no active runtime object for FINB_TR_CC_EXIT

thanks.

Hi,

This problem is caused because of error in application exit FINB_TR_CC_EXIT.

"The FINBASIS component has been installed in the system, however, no app lication component which uses FINBASIS (for example: EACC). The communication error is triggered through error message FINBTR008."

What is your FINBASIS level.

If it is FINBASIS - Release (150 ) then apply the following package

SAPK-15012INFINBASIS

If it is FINBASIS - Release (200 ) then apply the following package

SAPK-20009INFINBASIS

Then, start the client copy, it should work.

Regards
Anandm

thanks Anandm, im a SAP newbie and dont know any of that stuff u wrote - ie what the finbasis is or applying packages, but ive got a workaround. been told i can only have one copy of a client in BW or something to that effect, and dont need to copy 800 but just un'write-protect' it to use. i have done that and im now able to progress further. maybe now i'll get to progress and then get what you meant soon. thanks.
