Outlook process hangs after closing

Outlook client hangs after closing out and I am unable to open it back up unless I kill the process.  I have tested two things one of them was changing my options, the other was to use a pop account which works fine I can open and close all day long.  It seems that when I use the exchange account the process hangs.  The Icon at the bottom says that it is requesting info from the exchange server the box never goes away.

What version of Outlook you are using? If it is 2000, you may want to take a look on this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;834005&Product=out

I had the same problem a while ago, and MS didn't release this hotfix yet by that time. I had to upgrade to Outlook XP to fix the problem. I tested this hotfix on other Outlook 2000 client, it did fixed the annoying problem.

Give it a shot.

I actually have Outlook 2003 on three machines that have the problem.  That's the thing that gets me most it is not a common problem. Maybe I should try Microsoft it might have something to do with the protocols.  I will keep updating this and hopefully I will find a solustion.
