JSP Documentation...

Hallo Experts,

I found a nice tutorial for JSP documentation(which generates similar to javadoc) in

http://opensource.yourdecor.ca/jspdoc/

but unfortunately i could not get an idea of how to do it. I am using Tomcat 5.0 Webserver, j2sdk1.4.2...in that link they just gave to build documentation from ANT.

Can anyone use the link and tell me how i can proceed further... i think it will just take some minutes for experts(not for me!)...i tried my best but because i am a learner i could not  do it.

Experts please give a brief introduction of how i can generate JSP Documentation from the above link application.

PS: I was able to compile all the given files (by changing (in the DirTree.java file) the source directory of JSP files and Destination directory of HTML generated files according to my programs). I am getting NoClassDefError when i try to run it...even i set the classpath correctly.

Anticipating your reply,

Best Regards,
Jagdeesh.

Isn't it just a case of downloading the required software:

    *  Jakarta Ant. This is needed if you want to build the docs from an Ant Task. Ant can be found here. I'm currently using version 1.4.1.
    * GNU Regexp. This is the GNU project java regular expression package that is needed to assist in the parsing of the JSP pages. GNU Regexp can be found here. I'm currently using version 1.1.4.

and then following the documentation here:

http://opensource.yourdecor.ca/jspdoc/#install

?

What's the probelme with it?

The installation is a problem for me:

1. I dont know how to include the build file in ant. ( I am new for ANT)...Can i just use their code in Tomcat and try to execute, run their code!?...If so, please tell me how.

2. Or, please suggest me step-by-step(because i am just a learner) of how i can integrate the software with ANT, GNU Regexp and how i can compile and run according to my JSP files.(or with their SAMPLE JSP Pages, at first).

Thanx for ur help.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Did you have to install Ant and GnuRegexp?

No need to install ant...but we have to install GnuRegExp(has to be in the classpath).

BTW, i suceeded with 14-october-2003 version of jspdoc.

JSPDOC main files:

jsppage.java  --> Describes what things to be documented(Parameters, pages included, etc..)
DirTree.java --> Decribes which JSP files and which directories to be documented.
