How best to pass memberID to a photo gallery

I have asked someone to design a flash photo gallery for me with very little luck! The gallery is for a membership web site which allows each member to show their art work via a photo gallery. I am using Active Server Pages to generate the variables required by flash. The variables and their values are generated in the file design-gallery.asp.

I also want the flexibility of being able to change the name of this file from design-gallery.asp to any other name I so choose.

When you go to a members page and click on a link it should open the members photo gallery when the member's ID which comes from a SQL Server database is passed to the file design-gallery.asp and automatically show that member's gallery.

Here is what I have in mind:

<table border=0 cellpadding=10 cellspacing=0 ID="Table1">
  <tr align=center>
                  <td>

                        <OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
                        codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
                        WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="550" id="001" ALIGN="">
                              <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="gallery.swf?galleryUrl=<%= Server.URLEncode("design-gallery.asp?StylistID="&request.querystring("stylistID") %>">
                              <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high>
                              <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF>
                              <EMBED src="gallery.swf?galleryUrl=<%= Server.URLEncode("design-gallery.asp?StylistID="&request.querystring("stylistID") %>" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF  WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="550" NAME="001" ALIGN=""
                              TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
                              </EMBED>
                        </OBJECT>
                  </td>
            </tr>
</table>

Any suggestions? Please help me!

Hi,

It looks fine and should work. I have little worry when you are passing url with querystring. Since its URL-Encoded, it should not make Flash confuse.

Check it, all the best. If you still have any probs, please let me know. I would be more than happy to fix it for you.

Regards,
Abdul
