How do I print to a shared WinXP printer? Printer doesn't appear in lists, network is otherwise functional. Mac prompts for username and p/w on PC (I supplied them) then goes off and comes back with username/password no good message. Any help appreciated. I'm new at this question business, so I don't know if this is an easy one or a hard one!

I had followed the posted intructions before I asked the question, but thanks for the response. I got the printer working by changing the TCP/IP addresses from dhcp to manual on both the Mac and the PC (at least that's the last thing I tried before the printer showed up in the list). Weird! What happens to this question now?

That would make sense. If it were set to DHCP the printers address would be change and thus you wouldnt be able to print to it.

Okay to delete and thanks for the help, but this may be useful to someone else. Actually, I never got to the 'changing' of addresses by DHCP--just using a fixed vs. dynamic address seemed to work.
