digital video recording CCTV software

They have a basic trial of software, give it a go.

We use the fully fuctional product.  This notifies the user by, Email & SMS when something has been triggered.

Also when the camera is triggered, it is possible to upload the captured video / pictures to a online web server, so if the PC gets stolen, you still have your evidence !!

You may view remotely, but I do not know about Video Searches.

Don't forget if you are looking for highly advanced features the software you require will be considerably more than a couple of hundred bucks.

heres what i need from the software i will include a ton of points to who will provide me with a link to software meeting my needs pricing is an issue up to $399.99

at least a 30 day trial is required if i dont try it i dont know if i'll like it.

currently im looking into zoneminder

must have remote viewer for up to 8 cameras

must have mpeg recording or avi or some other video recording to save video to a movie file...motion detection is a plus as it saves space.....

Any one know of any software i've been searching google for two days straight !
i currently have Dss1000 by Avermedia but the software only works with argus cards...if you know a way to make it work with my cards then that will help too.

Take a look at www.homewatcher.com - it's free, comes with a motion-detection algorithm, creates avi files from captures, and uploads to a website.

I use Gotcha from Precient Systems. It doesn't save as mpeg but it does use the mpeg algorythms to compress the data.

I can save around 6 weeks worth of motion in 800MB (I've just had a clean out)
It will FTP or email motion captured images if reequired.

I also use Perl::Magick on an apache 2 server to generate thumbnail images from the last 10 or so images. Works well. It also has a multicam option.
