Find largest number in a select query

Hi

In a select query which i am doing i get rows of integers (in a column), how can i retrieve the largest integer out of them?

e.g.

|Integers|
------------
9
------------
8
------------
4
------------
45


How would i retrive the number 45

very easy :  SELECT MAX(integers) FROM mytable
