I'm looking to put together a new computer and am looking for a video card that will also do video capture from a vcr or camcorder. Does anybody make one that will do good video capture and fairly decent video output? If I can't find a single card I am looking at an ATI Radeon 9600 and an AverMedia PCI video capture card. Is it even worth it to look into an all in one card or would the video quality be too bad to be worth it?
The combination cards tend to be pricey (ATI All-in-Wonder). You can go with the video card of your choice (Radeon 9600) and a Flyvideo2000 cature card, which gives very good results: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/video_capture.html.
