Ouf of Office reply, with POP 3 email.

I have Office XP installed on my machine and need to set up an out of the office reply. We are not using exchange server, instead a POP 3. I know the Out of Office assistant only works if you are using exchange server. How can I create an autoreply using a POP 3 email service.
